HUGE THANKS to everyone who participated in our first competition. I know it took a while to sort things out, but sometimes a great thing just cant be rushed. Don't get discouraged though! We've finally reached our verdict!

We also want to say to everyone who took part in this contest that you all did an awesome job, and even if you didnt win, dont be discouraged. Every track entered was really good, and we were all very impressed with the ability of the artists involved. We will be contacting several of the contest entrants regarding use of their track on our upcoming CD.
Even if you didn't win a prize, you still got an awesome track for your arsenal, and hopefully a fun experience out of the deal.

WHAT IS THE NSDC?
The Not Strictly Dubstep Competition, or NSDC, is a contest created to expand the audience's listening perspective. Dubstep is an ever growing style of electronic music, It is deeply expiramental and nearly limitless in it's possibilities. The goal of this contest is to get the listener interested in other types of music, to broaden their horizons. There's a lot of music out there, and hopefully this will inspire individuals not only to listen to new types of music, but create new types of music and thus continue the ever growing universe that is sound.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
It's easy. Create a unique, original song mixing Dubstep and whatever other style of music you like. Be creative... Expansive... Blow the mind of the listener! Take that glitchy, twitchy song you've been working on and wobble it out; or take that dubstep idea you have and add some trance influence. Throw that hardcore metal riff into a nice grungy dubstep song. Just mix it up!
Whatever you enjoy the most, mix it up with your dubstep and there you go!
